I wasn’t going to open up this can of worms after my last political post on Facebook but given all the hatred being spewed on social media today and people bringing God into it I cannot keep silent.
Yes, Trump has done and said things that aren’t right but guess what? Jesus loves him all the same and can still use him to do great things! In fact that’s God’s sole mission, to turn sinners into saints by His grace alone so that they can spend eternity with him.
I don’t know about you but I’m FAR from perfect and if you look at my past of drunkenness, lies and sex outside of marriage I don’t deserve the life I’ve been given. If you look at my present of impatience, worldly priorities and selfishness I still don’t deserve it but praise the Lord that’s not how he works!
When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” – John 8:7
If you want to keep throwing stones at Trump, his supporters and anyone ever for that matter that’s your choice but I personally cannot do that because it would be a slap in the face to my God and his unending grace and love.
Remember, every sinner has a future and every saint has a past!
Ps – If you want a great Biblical reference to God’s ability to change hearts then check out Saul who was comparable to our modern day ISIS who then went on to become Paul, one of the greatest apostles known to us who spread the good news of Jesus Christ until it cost him his life.
